Report: Facundo Medina names Manchester United as his dream destination

Facundo Medina names Manchester United as one of his dream clubs

According to Tiempo via Le 10 Sport, Argentine prospect Facundo Medina has name-dropped Manchester United as one of his favoured clubs.

The Red Devils were linked with a move for the defender last January. However, the interest came to nought and Medina stayed put at Lens. United were said to be serious about their interest in the 21-year-old and were backed to launch an £11m bid for the player’s services. (h/t Daily Mail)

Medina moved to Europe with Lens in 2019 and has swiftly established himself as a key player for the Ligue 1 side.

Medina has mentioned Real Madrid and AC Milan as other clubs he is open to impress at. Given that we take on Milan in the Europa League round of 16, one would expect the Argentine to be amongst the viewers.

“I dream of winning with the national team. Then, be it United, Real Madrid, Milan or one of those big clubs.”

For now, the player is confident at Lens. He is keen to give it his all and keep improving with the French side.

He has so far made 21 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, scoring three goals. Capable of playing at both centre-back and left-back, Medina is a promising talent. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Milan are also keen on the players and have identified him as a replacement for Alessio Romagnoli.

The 21-year-old is a good reader of the game and has good technical ability on the ball. Moreover, as a left-footed player, he would add a different dimension to the United defence. His fine form also saw him make his senior debut for Argentina in September.
