According to The Telegraph (Subscription Required), Manchester United can breathe easy knowing Marcus Rashford has not suffered a major injury.

The 23-year-old limped off against Liverpool amidst worries of having sustained a knee injury. Thankfully, scans have revealed that the player had merely sustained minor bruises.

This is good news for United who takes on Sheffield United on Wednesday night. Whether Rashford will indeed be risked or not remains to be seen.

It makes more sense for United to rest Rashford for two reasons. Firstly, it will help him shake off the minor injury, irrespective of its severity. Secondly, it will help us get him back to full speed ahead of the clash against Arsenal on Saturday.

The Gunners were the last team to beat United in the Premier League. The club has since gone on a 13-match unbeaten run that has propelled them to the top of the league.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be keen to keep that run going at the Emirates. Arsenal have rediscovered their form in recent weeks and will present us with a competitive challenge.

The Englishman is United’s second top scorer this season. A dependable player, Rashford is easily our best frontman this campaign.

He scored a goal and grabbed himself an assist in the 3-2 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup. The win will have given the side a massive boost as they look to win their first trophy under Solskjaer.

With a number of key fixtures to come, United will need their best players available. Rashford falls in that category and Solskjaer will do well to not rush the striker back.

After all, we should be expected to beat Sheffield United sans the number 10.
