Bayern Munich to offer Jamal Musiala a new deal amidst Manchester United interest

According to the Daily Mail, Bayern Munich are set to offer Jamal Musiala a lucrative new contract amidst interest from the Premier League including Manchester United.

The 17-year-old came through the ranks at TSV Lehnerz and Chelsea before moving to Bayern in 2019. Despite his age, he has already made 14 appearances for the European champions, scoring three goals. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Bayern have already opened talks with the player to offer him fresh terms as an important member of the first-team. He looks set to net more than £100,000-per-week in wages if the new terms are agreed upon.

The attacking midfielder has just over 18 months left on his current contract. He would be available for just training compensation in the summer of 2022 if his future is not resolved. 

His rise in the ranks has seen him receive considerable attention from the Premier League. Apart from us, Manchester City and Liverpool are also keeping tabs on his situation.

Having signed Musiala from Chelsea for a token price, Bayern are keen to avoid a similar fate.

Musiala is not just the youngest ever player in Bayern’s history but also their youngest ever scorer. Given their long and storied history, Musiala’s feat is one for the history books.

The tug of war for the midfielder’s services isn’t just limtied to the club level. Musiala was born in Stuttgart before moving to England.
