Manchester United have signed Christian Eriksen.

Christian Eriksen rebuffs Premier League return with Manchester United

According to The Daily Star, Christian Eriksen is set to snub interest from Manchester United.

The Inter Milan star is well versed with the Premier League. The Dane spent six and a half seasons at Tottenham Hotspur where he matured into one of the best midfielders in the division.

The move to Italy has not gone accoridng to plan and he has failed to produce the skills he showcased on a regular basis in North London.

The Nerazzurri are ready to cut their losses and are willing to sell Eriksen just a year after they signed him. Eriksen was once again listless against Cagliari after which Antonio Conte admitted that some players can leave. (h/t Daily Mail)

With the January window around the corner, Eriksen’s future is once again up for debate. However, according to the report, he is not keen to return to England after failing in Italy.

Instead, Eriksen is keen to move to France and link up with Ligue 1 champions PSG. The French giants made it all the way to the Champions League final last season.

Eriksen has struggled to impress at Inter Milan

Inter have offered Eriksen to clubs across Europe, and seek a £27m fee. They are keen on a straightforward sale and not a swap deal or loan with an option to buy. (h/t Daily Mail)

Eriksen in a cut-price deal would have been worth a gamble. At just 28, he has plenty of years left in his locker. Moreover, he is an accomplished set-piece taker who could have further strengthened our dead-ball ability.

More Manchester United News

It is debatable if Eriksen is a bad fit for Inter or if he is regressing as a player. It does not however look like he will don a United jersey any longer.

We are better off getting players who are entering their prime rather than risk signing a player who appears to be in decline. It would appear that we have dodged a bullet.
