Gary Neville demands Paul Pogba to set the record straight after Mino Raiola comments

Posting on Twitter, Manchester United legend Gary Neville has urged Paul Pogba to contradict his agent Mino Raiola if the agent’s recent comments on the player’s future are untrue.

Raiola caused quite the stir when he came out yesterday with the claim that Pogba was looking to leave the club at the quickest opportunity.

Coming on the eve of a make or break match against RB Leipzig, the timing of the admission could not have been worse.

Neville took to Twitter to express his opinion on the series of events. He acknowledged that this isn’t the first time that Raiola has come out with a statement.

However, he also questioned as to whether Pogba was in the loop regarding his agent’s admission. Neville too brought up the issue of the timing of the statements while calling upon Pogba to set the record straight.

The 27-year-old has failed to hit the heights expected of him at United. While it is understandable if he doesn’t see his future at the club, having his agent make such unsettling comments on the eve of an important match will have won him few admirers.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville wants Paul Pogba to come clean regarding comments by Mino Raiola

This comes just four months after Raiola confirmed Pogba is committed to United’s cause. The Frenchman appeared to be on the right track and there was even talk of him penning an extension.

Pogba was also on target at the weekend as United came back from a goal down to defeat West Ham United. All the good vibes now appear to have taken a beating given Raiola’s latest comments.

United go into the game against RB Leipzig knowing a point will be enough for them to progress to the last 16. With Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial out injured, our job is not going to be easy.

Raiola’s comments will have done little to improve morale. Pogba coming out and disagreeing with his agent could make a world of difference.
