“The salt is unreal” – Some Man United fans tear into rival PL boss after Fernandes dig

Twitter reacts as Jose Mourinho takes a swipe at Bruno Fernandes

Speaking to Record (h/r MEN), former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe at superstar Bruno Fernandes.

The 25-year-old who joined United in January, has hit the ground running at Old Trafford. He has not only improved the team’s performances on the field but has filled fans with renewed hope.

Fernandes has scored 10 goals and 8 assists in 20 appearances for us. Six of them have been penalties. Jose being who he is, could not ignore having a dig at that.

“Bruno came in, was fit, played very well, improved the United team and also proved to be a great penalty taker, one of the best in the world, because he had about 20 to score.”

Whether it be a penalty, an own goal or even a shot deflected off a beach ball, the objective of the game is to put the ball in the back of the net.

The fact that Fernandes has stepped up, often during pressure situations and delivered is the only statistic that should matter. The fact that Jose’s team finished sixth should be bothering him and not what another team that has nothing to do with him anymore does.

A number of United fans took exception to our former manager’s comments. They took to Twitter to make their opinion clear. We take a look at a few of them below.
