Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rallies fans and players ahead of Spurs clash
According to a video made in association with Adidas (h/t Mirror), Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued a rallying cry to both fans and players ahead of the crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
United return to action after three months in a crucial clash in the race for the top four. Currently, on an 11-match unbeaten streak, the Red Devils will be keen to extend it further this Saturday.
“While the world waits, we get ready. Ready to watch the boys emerge from this dark tunnel and onto the turf again. Ready to show what it means to be united again.”
With the team doing well and key players returning to action, there is a real sense of optimism going into the restart.
There is plenty left to play for this season for United. We are still alive in the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League. Not to mention we are the best placed to usurp Chelsea for the fourth spot.
Solskjaer is aware of what is at stake. He has used historically significant moments to rally his troops. By evoking the memories of the Busby Babes and the Class of ’92, he has shown what can be achieved if the players play to their best.
“Ready to take this moment and make it ours, because let’s be honest, nobody does a comeback quite like United.”
He has urged everyone to make the most of the moment. Nobody knows better than Solskjaer on how to cap off a comeback.
His heroics in 1999 at the Nou Camp has gone down both in United and European football history. The match is not over until the final whistle and our current crop can learn that directly from the manager.
Marcus Rashford is among those who will return to action following an injury layoff. The 22-year-old has been making the news for all the right reasons. The time has come for him to continue delivering on the pitch.
