Manchester United will play West Brom in two hour-long friendlies on Friday
As reported by the Daily Mail, Manchester United will now be playing two friendlies against Championship side West Bromwich Albion on Friday, after the cancelled game against Stoke City.
Initially, Manchester United were penned down to play the Potters on Tuesday. However, a coronavirus scare saw the game get cancelled at the 11th-hour, with Stoke manager Michael O’Neill getting tested positive.
It is believed that O’Neill never stepped foot at Carrington though, while none of the Manchester United players came in contact with Stoke City players.
Nevertheless, the training ground was locked down for 72 hours and will be deep-cleaned as per the club’s safety protocols. (h/t Daily Mail)

Currently, the Red Devils are in 5th place in the standings, just three points off 4th place. With the Champions League qualification spot right in sight, the players cannot afford any slip-ups in the remaining nine matches.
The return of Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba should be a huge boost though. And the friendlies against West Brom should help the duo get close to match fitness ahead of the contest against former boss Jose Mourinho’s side.
