Solskjaer discusses the impact of coronavirus on club’s transfer plans

Manchester United have been linked with several big names ahead of the summer transfer window. The likes of Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane and Jack Grealish are some of the stars linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford.
But recently, United chief executive Ed Woodward had admitted that big signings are unlikely this summer due to the impact of the coronavirus on the finances of football clubs across the globe.
Now, Solskjaer too has hinted at the same. The Norwegian insisted that he is happy with his current squad. But the club is on the lookout to improve the roster ahead of the next season. (h/t Sky Sports)

“Today’s world is different to what it was two months ago. We’ve got to adjust, adapt, there’s clubs out there struggling more than us financially. It’s a new world, and I think the transfer market this summer will be completely different to what anyone thought it would be.”

Given the devastating impact of the pandemic, finances of clubs across the board have been affected. So, as Solskjaer and Woodward have iterated, the possibility of big signings this summer is reduced.
However, the club is expected to make at least a couple of important signings that would help us take the next step under Solskjaer.
