Manchester United keen to recognize fans making worthy contributions amidst coronavirus crisis
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United has launched an initiative asking for supporters to nominate their ‘frontline hero’ during the battle against coronavirus.
The coronavirus pandemic has changed everyday life as we know it. Footballing heroes have been replaced by medical professionals who are fighting on the front to ensure our safety and survival.
Not all heroes wear capes is an apt analogy, considering the common folk who have stepped up to do their bit when needed.
And, Manchester United have launched an initiative to bring to light those fans who have made worthy contributions during these troubled times (h/t Daily Star).
A United spokesman confirmed that the club is keen on identifying these heroes and ensure their efforts are lauded. (h/t Daily Star)
“Whoever they are, we want to hear your stories about their dedication to helping others at this time of need.”
It does matter who they are or the measure of their service. Every single person involved is lending a vital contribution to our war against the virus.
The Red Devils will celebrate the contributions of all these ‘heroes’ and highlight some of them for special recognition (h/t Daily Star).
It is important for society to come together during times of crisis to ensure that the vulnerable among us do not fall prey to undesirable circumstances.
Such efforts transcend boundaries and even club loyalties. We salute all those who have become an integral part of our retaliation, irrespective of who they may be.
