Manchester United were beaten comprehensively by West Ham United 3-1 at the London Stadium. The Red Devils came into the game looking to get a win after getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup in midweek.
However, the Hammers started brightly as Felipe Anderson opened the scoring from a Pablo Zabaleta cross in the 5th minute. United tried to get back into the game as Romelu Lukaku hit the post. A shot from the box took a wicked deflection off Victor Lindelof to give the Hammers a 2-0 lead at half-time.
Jose Mourinho played with a back five and it wasn’t working. However, Marcus Rashford was brought on and the Englishman gave us some hope with a goal in the 71st minute.
We would have expected a United barrage on the West Ham goal but Marko Arnautovic scored in the 74th minute to all but end our hopes of getting a point.
This was a horrible showing and one of our worst performances under Jose Mourinho.
10 – Manchester United last picked up fewer points from their opening seven games of a top-flight season in 1989/90 (7). Predicament. #WHUMUN pic.twitter.com/NwLpm94zcm

A lot of questions will be raised about the team and manager, and a number of fans were convinced that time is up for Mourinho.

2nd season: park the bus
3rd season: crash the bus— Robert (@robertpellikka) September 29, 2018

When I die, I want Mourinho to lower my coffin into the grave so he can let me down one last time.

Time for Mourinho to go, it’s over. I’ve backed him up to this point but he’s lost the dressing room, that was crystal clear today. The players should be ashamed of themselves as well

Never like to see a manager get sacked but it’s best for the club. It’s clear the players aren’t playing for Jose anymore.

If we can’t even beat teams like Derby and West Ham with this squad, how can our manager ask for more funds? We need more world class players to beat these teams? Then what do we need to actually compete for the league?
Here’s a good idea – a new manager.
Jose out.

Toothless and static in attack. Confused and incompetent in defence. Total shambles. Toxic atmosphere around the club. Slipping to mid-table mediocrity. It’s got to be over now, surely. #MourinhoOut
