Jose Mourinho Given Green Light To Sign £60m Serie A Star Beating Chelsea

Manchester United could be in the market for one of the best full-backs in the game. Alex Sandro, who has been earning rave reviews for Italian champions Juventus, is a target for the Old Trafford club and Jose Mourinho is willing to splash £60m for the Brazilian.

Sandro plays as a left-back and that is a position in dire need of additions given that Luke Shaw still is not trusted by Mourinho and Ashley Young has been shoehorned to fill the role.

If we are to challenge for top honours, we need quality, reliable players in all positions and that is exactly what we would get from the Brazilian Sandro.

According to the Mirror, we have been given the green light to sign the Juventus man. Chelsea did try their best in the summer but were rebuffed by the Italian champions. The Blues had bid around £65m for the 26-year-old as Antonio Conte tried to raid his former employers for Sandro.

The report also suggests that Juventus will be wary of losing one of their best defenders in the summer as they did with Leonardo Bonucci, who joined AC Milan at the start of the current campaign.

Danny Rose is an alternative we are tracking and the Tottenham man did suggest that the start of the season that he was willing to move closer to home and to one of the two Manchester clubs.

Spending Big In The Summer Again?

Mourinho has been given the funds to re-haul the United team and it has worked wonders for us this season. While Manchester City have been flying high, we are the second-best team and hopefully, with a few more additions, we will be able to properly challenge for the title next season.

It will be interesting to see if Sandro is willing to leave Italy and join Mourinho or Conte, given that both clubs will be tracking him in the off-season.

Sandro has played 10 times in the league this season and has 3 assists and a goal. He does seem to be an attack-minded left-back, which is just the kind of player we need in that position and fingers crossed, Mourinho can seal the deal for the 26-year-old soon.
