No Cleverley: How Manchester United Should Start vs Bayern Munich Tonight

We [Manchester United] have our work cut out this evening. David Moyes leads the team out against Bayern Munich tonight looking for a spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League, and although everyone is expecting us to be beaten, I think we can get something out of the game. If I was Moyes, this is how I would set out the team.

In a 4-2-3-1 formation I would naturally have David Dea Gea in between the sticks. The defence is a tough one tonight with so many injuries, but if they are all fit and ready then I would have Phil Jones at right-back, Patrice Evra at left-back and Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand in the central slots.

I would have Ryan Giggs alongside Michael Carrick in the middle of the pitch, with Shinji Kagawa to operate just in front of them. The little Japan international will work well between the lines, and hopefully link up with Wayne Rooney, who I would start up front.

In the wide areas I would have Danny Welbeck and Adnan Januzaj, although Antonio Valencia must be in with a shout as he works so hard defensively.

Who would you have, United fans?
