Al Nassr circle as Casemiro considers Manchester United exit
Manchester United could see star midfielder Casemiro bid adieu to Old Trafford this summer as Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr look to establish a potential deal for the former Sao Paulo star, per CaughtOffside.
The Red Devils signed Casemiro from Real Madrid for a deal reportedly worth £60 million in 2022. However, he has not been able to replicate his Madrid form in England and has seen his impact at Carrington dwindle.
€40m escape route? Casemiro’s Manchester United future in doubt amidst Al Nassr interest
The 32-year-old has been consistently exposed defensively and has been lacking players around him in the build-up, as United’s midfield has not been able to provide the support Casemiro needs to excel.
To make it more difficult for the Brazilian to make his mark at United, Erik ten Hag has set up his midfielder in a way where Casemiro cannot be used as an effective counterpresser, as opponents have continued to expose the former Real Madrid star. He has been dribbled past this season more by opponents this season.
However, his Manchester nightmare could be coming to an end soon as Al Nassr is ready to offer a way out. They are willing to offer the Premier League giants around €40 million for his services, while they are also prepared to offer Casemiro a three-year contract to board the flight to the Middle East this summer.
