La Liga shot-stopper with 20 clean sheets this season is on the ‘radar’ of Manchester United

Man United could go after Spanish goalkeeper this summer.

As reported by Spanish outlet, Marca, Manchester United have La Liga shot-stopper, Alex Remiro on their ‘radar’. The 29-year-old has kept 20 clean sheets in 45 appearances this season.

The La Liga goalkeeper would be a favoured choice for a number of top-flight European clubs. However, Man United will most likely not be springing money on another first-choice goalkeeper just yet.

The team paid £47.2m for Andre Onana back in July last year. While the Cameroonian goalkeeper has been having a tough time in goal, Man United could very well have been worse than they already are without him.

Since the club has been dealing with a ton of injury issues there will most likely be no fingers pointing at Onana as to why the team failed. The same could be true for Erik ten Hag, however, his failures are too grand to be excused.

While Remiro could leave Real Sociedad this summer, it will most certainly not be to join Manchester United. The club has better positions to reinforce at the moment. A new CB should take priority in the team’s transfer moves this summer.

The Old Trafford team has had a tough time dealing with injuries. Currently, all of Erik ten Hag’s centre-backs except Jonny Evans are injured. The team doesn’t have enough depth to be competitive while they’re so depleted.

While he has had his short comings, Andre Onana has also shown a lot of positive signs this season.
