INEOS monitoring Simone Pafundi for both Man United and Nice
According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, the INEOS Group is closely monitoring the situation of Italian attacking midfielder Simone Pafundi.
The Sir Jim Ratcliffe-owned group is looking to make a move for the 2006-born starlet for either Nice or Manchester United.
Pafundi came through at Udinese and is currently on load at Swisse side Lausanne, where he has been attracting interest from the club owners, INEOS.
Udinese reportedly already rated Pafundi at a valuation of €15 million. He was also highly rated by former Italy coach Roberto Mancini, who handed him his senior international debut in 2022.
An interesting approach
The Pafundi link further solidifies the fact that the INEOS Group will also look to create the same kind of multi-club football network that has long been established by the likes of City Football Group and Red Bull.
On paper, at least, this is good news for Man United, who are easily the crown jewel of INEOS’ football portfolio. Links like these will further strengthen their ability to scout young players and bring them to Old Trafford before they become expensive assets.
