Manchester United star failed to inform the club of soreness and is now out for the season

A lot of people have been wondering about the whereabouts of Manchester United star, Tyrell Malacia. The 24-year-old LB has been dealing with injuries and has not made any appearances for the Red Devils this season.

Malacia underwent surgery to repair his meniscus during the summer. However, his knee had been going bad for a long time. The Athletic (paid subscription) reports that the Dutch defender had acutally been feeling discomfort during his first season at United.

However, the 24-year-old was eager to prove himself and was a little late to inform the club of soreness in his knee. His actions were reckless and Malacia has now gone nine months without any football action.

He also chose to undergo surgery with his own specialist, something that United agreed on. Well there were a few cartilages left in his knee following that, so he had to undergo a corrective surgery as well.

So far, it is clear to see that Malacia’s journey could’ve been handled much better by both the club and the player himself. However, what’s done is done and the 24-year-old is now closer than ever to a return to the pitch.

Malacia is currently taking flights between the Netherlands and Barcelona to meet with specialists and get back on track with his recovery. He was also spotted in Carrington recently which relived the fans who had been wondering about his sudden disappearance.

Malacia’s irresponsible behaviour has cost a lot to him and the club who have been missing both him and Luke Shaw at left back. Hopefully, he will be able to make up for it when he returns to action next season.
