Manchester United managerial target gives angry response to Liverpool links
Ruben Amorim has constantly been linked to Manchester United and Liverpool. The Reds believe Amorim will be a good replacement for Jurgen Klopp. On the other hand, talks suggest that the Red Devils believe the Sporting CP manager can successfully replace Erik ten Hag.
Recently there has been a lot of talk going around which suggests that Amorim has reached a verbal agreement to take over Liverpool next season. The Portuguese coach has not taken the situation lightly and has responded to the media. Let’s have a look (h/t Manchester Evening News)
“To end everything that has been reported, this is the last time I will talk about my future.”
“I’ll say it again, I’m Sporting’s coach. There was no interview with any club or agreement with any club. I am focused, as always, on defending my club.”
It seems the Sporting CP boss has grown tired of the constant talk surrounding his future. Amorim’s team is currently leading the race for Liga Portugal. They sit firmly at the top with a four point lead.
This season has been a great reminder of Amorim’s potential and he will likely be leaving the Liga Portugal in the future. However, it will not be right now as the Portuguese coach is fully focused on winning the league with his team.
On the other hand, the Red Devils should be paying attention to talks surrounding Ruben. If Liverpool ends up signing him Manchester United might just lose out on a big talent. But before they can think about that the team needs to decide the future of Erik ten Hag.
