Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has already bounced back after being sacked by Birmingham City
Despite their poor season Manchester United fans finally have something to celebrate as club legend Wayne Rooney has finally landed a new job. The former striker was recently sacked by Birmingham City.
Rooney signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Championship team. However, things did not go according to plan for both parties. After just three months at the helm, the Man United legend was sacked.
This prompted a lot of people to ask what Rooney would be doing next. We finally have the answer, as the Daily Star reports that the former United man will be on BBC’s panel for their upcoming coverage of the FA Cup.
No one can deny that Wayne Rooney is easily one of the best strikers to ever live. Clearly, he sees the game in a different light than anyone else. So, his being on the panel for BBC is exciting news.
Moreover, Manchester United are still in the running for the FA Cup. Erik ten Hag and his men have fought hard to make it to the fight round. They will now be fighting even harder since this is the only competition that can salvage their season.
Having Rooney on the panel to give us insights about the club and share stories from his time at Old Trafford will be a treat. Who knows, maybe being on a panel is the 38-year-old’s true calling.
