Manchester United ‘don’t have time’ says Erik ten Hag to a struggling Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United are seemingly losing their patience with star striker Rasmus Hojlund. The team paid £64m to sign the Danish striker back in August last year and he has been slow to start.

The 20-year-old has not had a lot of time to adjust to the league. But, Manchester United expect big things out of him and he is yet to deliver. Through 15 Premier League games, Hojlund has scored only one goal for the Red Devils.

As a result, the team is currently sitting ninth on the Premier League table and really cannot afford to go any lower than that. Ten Hag has had some thoughts about the entire situation.

The Dutchman believes that the team has signed a lot of young talent that needs time to develop. He hinted that the development shown by Alejandro Garnacho and young Kobbie Mainoo is what the team needs.

On the topic of Rasmus Hojlund, Ten Hag says that the Danish striker needs time, but he also acknowledged that the team is short on time at the moment. If the 20-year-old cannot get his act together he might even be moved to the bench.

The only positive that he has shown so far, was his performance in the Champions League. However, The Red Devils are no longer in the CL so Hojlund needs to be better for them in the Premier League.

Tonight’s game against Tottenham Hotspur will be an excellent opportunity for Hojlund to show what he is made of. Hopefully, he will be a positive for the team as they prepare to battle for three points.
