Why was Rasmus Hojlund missing from the Manchester United lineup against Nottingham Forest?

Rasmus Hojlund was surprisingly missing from the Manchester United lineup during their last game. Fans were looking forward to watching him play against Nottingham Forest days after he finally grabbed his first Premier League goal.

The 21-year-old’s last-minute goal against Aston Villa won the game for Manchester United. However, it had more significance to it since it was also Hojlund’s first Premier League goal for the Red Devils.

There was a lot of speculation that the player would now go on to be a big producer for the team. Funnily enough, he ended up missing the very next game due to an illness. This news comes shortly after Old Trafford was given a 1-star rating for hygiene.

The Red Devils have had their fair share of injury troubles this season. Both Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial have also missed games this season due to illness. Is there something that is making the Manchester United players sick?

Whatever the case may be, the team surely missed his contribution yesterday. It was an uphill battle for the Old Trafford squad who just couldn’t find the back of the net.

There were plenty of decent scoring opportunities for the Premier League giants but Marcus Rashford ended up being the only one who could strike true. Erik Ten Hag’s side has now lost 14 games across all competitions this season.
