Rio Ferdinand was frustrated as shown by the message he sent following Manchester United’s loss against Nottingham Forest.
Manchester United’s latest loss against Nottingham Forest is sure to sting a lot of people. The Red Devils’ win against Aston Villa gave some much-needed hope to the fans only to have it all taken away by the Tricky Trees.
One person who was visibly frustrated following the whole ordeal was Rio Ferdinand. He sent out a message through social media platform X(Twitter) addressing the team’s lack of effort.
He proclaimed that the team didn’t even start to try until the 90th minute. The part that pissed him off the most about their performance was the lack of urgency. In all fairness to Ferdinand Ten Hag’s men did look like they were out of the fight until the end.
Some fans were happy to see Marcus Rashford finally grab a goal for the team. But, after failing to capitalise on multiple golden chances it was Manchester United who left the stadium with a loss.
This now marks Erik Ten Hag’s 14th loss of the season. With each loss that is added to the board the team’s goal of a top 4 Premier League finish keeps straying further.
Something has to change at Manchester United. Their lack of consistency is alarming. However, one reason that the team has been so inconsistent could be because of their struggle with injuries.
