Christian Eriksen paves the way for Manchester United players as he gives them the ‘best way forward’ following loss against Nottingham
Manchester United once again found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard during their game against Nottingham Forest. They were unable to get the win and have now lost 14 games across all competitions.
Fans were hoping that their win over Aston Villa would be the driving force behind their performance yesterday. However, that did not end up being the case and the team left the Forest with no points at all.
Christian Eriksen who failed to capitalise on a golden chance to score for Man United had some advice for his teammates. His veteran presence on the team sure will be appreciated by Erik Ten Hag.
Eriksen tried to motivate his Manchester United teammates and provided them with the ‘best way forward’ following the loss against Nottingham. He admitted that the loss was hard but the only way for the team to move forward was to focus on the next game.
Let’s have a look at what the 31-year-old had to say to his team. (h/t Manchester Evening News)
“Personally, I think the best way forward is to work hard and really look ahead. I think that will be the same aim for us as players.”
He then said that the team must make a few changes now and look forward to the next game. The presence that Eriksen has on the field cannot be understated. The Danish midfielder is the glue that holds Ten Hag’s middle line together.
He is surely frustrated over his missed opportunity during the game. But, we can always expect a player of his skill to bounce back even stronger.
The team has not given up and will be looking forward to getting three points back during their next game.
