Pundit has advised Harry Maguire to leave Manchester United and join hands with their Premier League rivals
Former Manchester United forward Lee Sharpe has advised Harry Maguire to join West Ham United. According to ESPN, the Hammers are interested in singing the English defender.
Harry Maguire has had somewhat of a weird career at Manchester United. Very often we have seen him be the scapegoat for the Red Devils’ shortcomings. But, his recent success with the club has left this all behind.
Before he picked up an injury against Bayern Munich, the English defender was starting at centre-back over Raphael Varane. However, Varane has since come back and has reminded the Old Trafford fans of his class.
Let’s have a look at what Lee Sharpe had to say about Maguire. (h/t Express)
“David Moyes is a really good manager, and he [Maguire] would benefit from playing under David Moyes in a team like West Ham.”
Sharpe also said that the Harry Maguire situation has always been a difficult one to call. To see a former star support the 30-year-old is surely a refreshing sight for the Man United fans.
Lee’s words come at a convenient time. Erik Ten Hag plans to use the money from player sales towards new signings in January. Offloading players like Harry Maguire and Jadon Sancho will give the Dutchman some decent capital to play around with.
