Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford have made it onto FourFourTwo’s list of best footballers in 2023. Rashford was ranked at 77 with Fernandes being 20 ranks above him at 57.
Fans were happy to see Bruno Fernandes get the nod. The 29-year-old midfielder has been pivotal to Ten Hag’s campaign this season. Many believe the team would have been worse off without him.
On the other hand, Marcus Rashford’s spot on the list has been controversial. Earlier during the year the 26-year-old was one of the best wingers in England. However, this season has been very disappointing for the young forward.
In 21 appearances for the club, Rashford has only managed to score two goals and grab four assists (transfermarkt). These numbers are a clear indicator of his drop in form.
Fernandes on the other hand has been phenomenal. In 23 appearances he has scored five times while also grabbing five assists (transfermarkt). Some very solid numbers for the Manchester United skipper.
Hopefully, Marcus Rashford’s inclusion on the list will serve as a reminder for the young man. The Red Devils are in a desperate situation, he needs to fight his way out of this slump and help the team recover.
