MLS star urges Manchester United to bring back Mason Greenwood after watching his masterclass against Atletico
Ravel Morrison says Mason Greenwood should be back at Manchester United. These comments were made under a social media compilation that displayed Greenwood’s class against Atletico Madrid.
The 22-year-old forward had the potential to be a world-class talent for the Red Devils. However, it all came to an end for the young man after he was charged with a rape case last year.
All charges against him were dropped. But, his image was irreparably damaged which led to him being outcast by Manchester United. He was soon shipped off to Getafe on a loan deal.
Greenwood has made 15 appearances for Getafe and has recorded five goals and 4 four assists during that stretch (Transfermarkt). His contributions could greatly help Manchester United who have seen their attacking line falter this season.
Ravel Morrison who was once part of United Academy was taken aback by Greenwood’s talent. He fully backed the player on social media and believes that the Red Devils need to bring him back.
However, that might be a gate that Old Trafford has permanently closed. Before sending him off to Getafe, Manchester United were planning on reinstating Greenwood.
A decision that was overturned after they faced a ton of backlash.
