La Liga giants Barcelona hold an interest in Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho but with a condition: he must accept a wage cut.

La Liga giants Barcelona are keen on securing a deal for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho. However, the Spanish giants want the Englishman to take a wage cut if he wishes to secure the deal.

Numerous European clubs have shown interest in the 23-year-old, with inquiries coming from foreign continents as well.

Barcelona managed to sign Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid after the Portuguese took a massive wage cut. Sancho can be another coup for the Spanish giant if they manage to make him accept a significant cut.

United signed Sancho from German side Borussia Dortmund for £73m in the summer of 2021. The England international has failed to live up to the heights that he reached during his time with the German side.

Sancho played 137 games for Dortmund while contributing to 50 goals and 64 assists in all competitions. On the contrary, the Englishman scored only 12 goals and six assists in 82 games for the Red Devils.

The 23-year-old had a public fallout with the Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag during the start of the season. Ten Hag criticized Sancho’s training performance after his team lost 3-1 to Arsenal in a Premier League game on 3rd September. England International retaliated by criticizing the manager for using him as a scapegoat and defending his training performances.

The Red Devils banished Sancho from using any first-team facility until he apologized to the Dutchman. However, the 23-year-old has been adamant about not apologizing feeling like a victim of double standards.

Sancho’s down to his mental and physical issues played a significant role in his poor performances for the Red Devils. The information came to the spotlight last season during an interview with the United boss. Daily Mail reported that Ten Hag received no permission to disclose the information from United.

Spanish publication Sport reported that Barcelona could try to make a move in January or during the 2024 summer window. The Red Devils are eyeing to let Sancho go on loan for 6-months in January to increase his evaluation. However, the 23-year-old is likely to leave permanently next summer unless something drastic happens.
