PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe prefers Arsenal move amidst Manchester United links
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe would prefer a move to Premier League rivals Arsenal amidst links to Manchester United, according to the Independent (h/t The Sun).
The France international has been impressed by the work Mikel Arteta has done at the North London side. To that end, if he were to move to the English top flight, the Gunners would be the World Cup winner’s first choice.
Apart from the Red Devils, Liverpool have also been associated with acquiring the 24-year-old’s services. However, Real Madrid seem to be in pole position for the forward.
As things stand, Mbappe is in the final 12 months of his current contract. The French national has no intention of extending his stay at the Parc des Princes side. To that end, the Parisians want to sell the forward this summer.
However, he will not come cheap. PSG want around £170 million for their talisman. It is understandable, considering he has been one of the best players in the world for some time now.
Arsenal went toe-to-toe with Manchester City in the race for the league title last season. However, in the end, the Sky Blues managed to pip the Gunners to the title.
As for United, Erik ten Hag has made a bit of progress as well in the Red Devils’ dugout. The Dutch manager has managed to steady the ship at the Old Trafford side, winning the Carabao Cup in the previous campaign.
In the attack, the gaffer had to rely on Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst in the second half of the 2022/23 term. Still, the former Ajax head coach managed to take us to the FA Cup final and finish third in the table.
