Bayer Leverkusen forward Moussa Diaby eyes Premier League move amidst Manchester United and Newcastle United interest
Manchester United and Newcastle United target Moussa Diaby is eyeing a move to the Premier League from Bayer Leverkusen this summer, according to Bild (h/t Daily Mail).
The France international is aiming to join an English top flight side or make his way back to Paris Saint-Germain. As things stand, Arsenal are the ones leading the race to land the forward.
It seems like the Bundesliga outfit are preparing for life without the 24-year-old with the signing of winger Jonas Hofmann from Borussia Monchengladbach. The Black and Reds have set a £51 million price tag on his head.
At the moment, Diaby is tied down to the Bay Arena side until June 2025. Therefore, the ball is in their court when it comes to the French national’s valuation.
Leverkusen signed the 24-year-old in the summer of 2019 from PSG. Since then, he has been a key player for the Bundesliga outfit. The forward has also developed a keen eye for goals over the years.
Newcastle are not a priority for Diaby. However, the Magpies are flying high under Eddie Howe. In the previous campaign, the Tyneside outfit finished fourth in the league table and are set to compete in the Champions League.
As for United, we could evidently do with more depth in the attack. On the left wing, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho seem to be Erik ten Hag’s three options.
However, the Dutch manager trusted Antony on the right-hand side of the attack last season. In the Brazilian’s absence, Bruno Fernandes was often deployed in that position.

Therefore, it would not hurt to add more competition for the former Ajax Amsterdam forward in the squad. However, will the Old Trafford side want to spend a considerable amount to buy Diaby this summer? Only time will tell.
