Inter Milan shot-stopper Andre Onana move to Manchester United to be ‘sealed’ by next week
Manchester United are close to completing the signing of Andre Onana from Inter Milan in the ongoing transfer window, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
The Cameroonian’s move to the Old Trafford side from the Nerazzurri will be ‘sealed’ by the end of next week. To that end, the Red Devils are expected to send their final bid to the Serie A giants for the shot-stopper soon after holding encouraging discussions.
United have already agreed personal terms with the 27-year-old. The Red Devils are planning on taking the goalkeeper to the USA for the pre-season tour.

Inter signed Onana only last summer as a free agent. Now, they are set to make a huge profit on him. The Cameroonian was a key player for the Nerazzurri last season.
Simone Inzaghi’s team initially counted on Samir Handanovic in the previous campaign. However, after the former Ajax Amsterdam shot-stopper’s displays, he was the new number one.
The 27-year-old was impressive for the Nerazzurri throughout the 2022/23 term. However, the goalkeeper caught a lot of people’s attention with his displays in the Italian outfit’s run to the Champions League final.
United are without David de Gea at the moment. The Spaniard’s contract with the Old Trafford side expired at the end of June. As a result, the 32-year-old is a free agent right now and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
Thus, the Red Devils only have Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton as their two senior shot-stoppers. Therefore, we evidently needed to add someone like Onana to our ranks.
