Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino keen to “move on” from Mason Mount after Manchester United transfer
Mauricio Pochettino, who was recently appointed the manager of Chelsea, wants to “move on” from Mason Mount after the midfielder’s Manchester United transfer.
The Red Devils have completed the acquisition of the England international after a long, drawn-out saga. To that end, the Old Trafford side have paid the Blues £55 million plus add-ons to acquire his services.
Speaking to the media via transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Pochettino was unsure why Mount left the West London club. The Argentine manager no longer wants to focus on the 24-year-old.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain head coach has lost a brilliant talent in the English national. It will be interesting to see who the Stamford Bridge side will replace him with.
Mount made his way through the youth ranks at Chelsea before breaking into the first team during the 2019/20 season. Subsequently, the midfielder established himself as one of the best players at the club.
In recent months, the 24-year-old struggled at the Stamford Bridge side. However, the English national was pivotal to the Blues’ success over the last few years, especially in their last Champions League winning run.
Therefore, United are evidently getting an exceptional talent. Mount will join the likes of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes in Erik ten Hag’s squad.
The English national is a hard-working and versatile player. To that end, the 24-year-old can play in place of the Danish national or be used in the number 10 role.

Hopefully, Ten Hag will be able to get the best out of Mount at the Old Trafford side. His addition seemingly makes us a better team. Will the 24-year-old be able to fulfil his potential at the Theatre of Dreams? Only time will tell.
