Arsenal not considering move for Manchester United target and Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong
Manchester United target and Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong is not being considered by Arsenal at the moment, according to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg on Twitter.
As things stand, the Holland national is not someone high up on the North London side’s list in the ongoing transfer window. On the other hand, the Red Devils are still monitoring the youngster.
The Old Trafford side are interested in the 22-year-old. However, any concrete step will be taken after the takeover situation at the club is sorted out.

In terms of what Frimpong wants, he is yet to make a decision regarding his future. The defender is considered a key player by Xabi Alonso. However, the Bay Arena side will demand £35 million to part ways with him.
The Holland national has been at Leverkusen for some time now. However, the right-back came into his own in the previous campaign. The 22-year-old showcased his attacking prowess at the Bundesliga outfit, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in 34 league matches.
Arsenal relied on Ben White as their starting right-back for most of last season. The English national did an admirable job. Mikel Arteta can also call upon Takehiro Tomiyasu to play on the right-hand side of the defence.
As for United, Erik ten Hag preferred Diogo Dalot in the team at the start of the 2022/23 term. The Portuguese was ever-present in our starting lineup initially under the Dutch manager.
However, after the 2022 World Cup, the gaffer handed Aaron Wan-Bissaka opportunities in the team and the former Crystal Palace star did not disappoint. Toward the end of the campaign, the English national seemed to have pipped the former FC Porto defender in the pecking order.

Therefore, unless Dalot or Wan-Bissaka decide to leave the Old Trafford side, we evidently do not need Frimpong. It would be wise for the Holland national to develop further in Germany. Will the Red Devils opt to pursue the 22-year-old’s signature down the line? Only time will tell.
