Manchester United enter tight race to sign young Steve Biko striker Adama Bojang

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have started to show interest in 2004-born Gambian talent Adama Bojang this summer.

A 19-year-old player is drawing attention from various top English clubs, including Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It is no secret that Man United are also looking to strengthen their attacking options in the upcoming transfer window and has been linked with several strikers.

However, financial constraints may hinder their ability to secure their preferred targets, as clubs are demanding huge transfer fees from interested parties.

But as per the Guardian, United has the opportunity to sign Bojang from Steve Biko FC for a relatively low fee of £2.6 million.

The young striker has also received offers from German clubs like Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, and he is reportedly inclined towards a move to the Bundesliga. However, it remains uncertain whether Man United can convince him to consider joining their club instead.

The African forward impressed with his performances in international tournaments. He scored two goals, securing a brace, in a 2-1 victory over Honduras at the recent Under-20 World Cup.

In addition, he netted four goals during the Under-20 African Cup of Nations in March, contributing to his country’s impressive run to the final and earning a place in the team of the tournament.

Bojang’s performances have drawn comparisons to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen due to their similar playing styles and physical attributes, with the teenage striker standing at 6 feet 3 inches.

While the Red Devils have been linked with Osimhen, they may opt to pursue a younger version of him by targeting Bojang instead. The club is actively seeking attacking reinforcements, and the 19-year-old is regarded as a promising prospect who could become a valuable long-term addition.

Given his talent and potential, Bojang has the ability to develop into a top-quality striker, which would greatly benefit United’s squad. Although he wouldn’t directly start for Erik ten Hag’s side, he could get vital experience before establishing himself at the club.

The Gambian star possesses both the physical and technical qualities necessary to excel in English football.

The recent approval of updated visa criteria by the United Kingdom Home Office means that the 19-year-old player would qualify for a UK work permit even without prior playing experience in Europe.

United presents an attractive opportunity for any player, being one of the world’s biggest clubs. The 19-year-old is aware of this huge opportunity and could see it as the ideal next step in his career.

Joining a prestigious club like Man United under the guidance of manager Ten Hag could greatly accelerate his development. With such large interest in him, the Red Devils need to be quick in this race or else they risk losing him to another elite club.
