Manchester United are interested in Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga
According to Spanish publication AS (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United are tracking the progress of Celta Vigo’s highly-rated Spanish midfielder Gabri Veiga.
Veiga is enjoying a fruitful season with Vigo in La Liga and is attracting interest from plenty of suitors, United being one of them.
With a top-four finish almost secured for United this season, it would be better to start looking ahead to next season and planning for future arrivals.

Veiga, 20, could prove to be a shrewd addition to the team with the midfielder showcasing a wide range of attributes while running the midfield of Vigo.
Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are also looking at the player while direct rivals Liverpool are also deemed to be interested. That will certainly raise his stocks.
It certainly would no the easy to prise away from the La Liga outfit with his contract running till 2026 and only a big fee could persuade Vigo to sell their prized asset.

United, on the other hand, do need to make quality additions to make the step up under Erik ten Hag. The team under the new manager has done comparatively well compared to last season but there are still deficiencies in the squad.
These deficiencies are more visible when our key options are missing and the first thing the club needs to do is add quality depth to it. Veiga, who is yet to reach his prime, could prove to be a good value addition. We can certainly start to future-proof the middle of the park with Christian Eriksen and Casemiro in their 30s.
