Bayern Munich ‘weighing up’ Sadio Mane swap deal for Manchester United target and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen
Bayern Munich are ‘weighing up’ offering Sadio Mane in a swap deal for Manchester United target and Napoli star Victor Osimhen, according to Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg via Deadline Day Live (h/t Express).
The Bundesliga giants are considering making a bid that would include the Senegal international plus cash for the Serie A giants’ striker in the upcoming transfer window.
Last summer, the German outfit signed the former Liverpool forward. However, the Bavarians are open to parting ways with the 31-year-old.
Mane started off well at Bayern. But the Senegalese has found life difficult in Germany in the last few months. The forward also had a spat with teammate Leroy Sane recently and allegedly punched the former Manchester City winger.
The Bavarians parted ways with Robert Lewandowski in the summer of 2022. However, the Bundesliga giants did not replace the Poland international. They have had to rely on Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting this season up front.
Osimhen has been in brilliant form for Napoli. The Nigerian has taken his game to the next level and has inspired Luciano Spalletti’s team as they look set to get their hands on the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years.
United’s attack has had to rely on Marcus Rashford to find the back of the net since Erik ten Hag’s arrival. The 25-year-old has shouldered the burden of the Red Devils’ front line this season.
At the moment, Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst are the only two natural number nines at the gaffer’s disposal. However, the two have been fallible in their own regards.

Therefore, we could evidently do with someone like Osimhen in our team. However, will Bayern be able to convince Napoli with a unique offer? Only time will tell.
