Neymar, who plays for French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Brazil, is being monitored by Manchester United, according to Footmercato (h/t The Sun).

The 31-year-old has endured various fitness issues at the Parc des Princes side over the years. As a result, there is speculation about the forward’s future, with Premier League rivals Chelsea being linked with him.

However, the Red Devils are prepared to enter the pursuit to acquire the services of Neymar. The Old Trafford side are keeping tabs on the Brazilian’s situation with the Parisians.

Last summer, United made enquiries regarding the 31-year-old but decided against his signature in the end. Although, he could once again be an option for the Red Devils.

Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani is the front-runner to buy the Old Trafford side. Should investors from Qatar succeed in their bid to take over the Manchester-based club, the former Barcelona star is seen as a marquee signing.

Neymar signed for PSG in the summer of 2017. His current contract with the Ligue 1 outfit runs until 2025, with an option to extend it until 2027. But the Parisians want to part ways with the Brazilian, even though he wants to stay.

United’s attack has been led by Marcus Rashford in the left wing this season. The England international is in the form of his life and has been the Red Devils’ talisman.

On a number of occasions, the 25-year-old has played as a number nine under Erik ten Hag. The Dutch gaffer’s options up front are limited, with only Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst at his disposal.
