Manchester United have ‘sent scouts’ to keep an eye on RB Salzburg star Amar Dedic after some good performances this season, according to 90min (h/t Manchester Evening News).

Initially, the Red Devils’ were watching the Austrian outfit’s Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko. The 19-year-old is still being looked at. However, the right-back also caught their eyes and now he is also being monitored.

At the moment, the 20-year-old defender is tied down to the Red Bull Arena side until the summer of 2027. Therefore, the Old Trafford side may have to make a big bid to compel Die Roten Bullen to part ways with the Bosnia international.

Dedic made his way through the youth ranks at Salzburg. In the 2020/21 campaign, the youngster broke into the senior squad. Subsequently, the right-back spent last season on loan at Wolfsberger.

After impressing on his temporary move, the 20-year-old has been given an opportunity in the Red Bull Arena side’s starting lineup. The Bosnian has cemented his place in Matthias Jaissle’s team.

Dedic has broken onto the scene in the current campaign. He has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the Austrian outfit, scoring two goals and providing three assists. The 20-year-old also started in all six Champions League fixtures for Die Roten Bullen.

For now, Erik ten Hag has mostly relied on Diogo Dalot in his starting lineup at United. The Portugal international has been ever-present in the Red Devils’ team sheet under the Dutch manager.

However, as a result, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has fallen down the pecking order. Before the 2022 World Cup, the English national was hardly afforded any minutes. However, in recent weeks, the 25-year-old has put in some decent displays.

But Dalot seems to be Ten Hag’s first choice. Therefore, it would not come as a surprise if Wan-Bissaka opted to leave the Old Trafford side for more game time. In that case, a promising talent like Dedic is a good option to have on our radar.
