Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane might want to come to Manchester United next summer
Harry Kane has been tipped to leave Tottenham Hotspur and join Manchester United next summer, with his current contract set to expire soon.
The 29-year-old’s existing deal with Spurs is set to conclude in the summer of 2024. He is being monitored by the Red Devils at the moment. The Old Trafford side are expected to sign a new striker in the upcoming transfer window.
Speaking on BBC Sounds’ Transfer Gossip Daily (h/t Manchester Evening News), Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards feels the England international will be a hot topic in the summer. Subsequently, he believes the striker could consider a move to United.
“He’ll [Kane] have one year left on his contract, I think, in the summer. We will be talking about Harry Kane 100 per cent in the summer. I have a sneaky feeling that Manchester United might come in for Harry Kane in the summer and I have a sneaky feeling that he may well want to go.”
Kane made his way through the youth ranks at Tottenham. After a few seasons out on loan, the 29-year-old broke into the North London side’s first team setup in the 2014/15 campaign, where he took the Premier League by storm.
Since then, the England international has not looked back. The striker has become Spurs’ talisman and has found the back of the net on a consistent basis in the English top flight.
However, while Kane has thrived at Tottenham, trophies have eluded him. Some people expected Antonio Conte’s arrival could have changed things at Spurs. However, at the moment, it looks difficult for the England international to get his hands on a trophy this season.
At United, Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure has left Erik ten hag with just one natural striker in Anthony Martial. Injury issues have also hampered the 27-year-old in the current campaign.
Subsequently, the Red Devils signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley in January. But the Holland international is just a short-term option until the end of the season.

Thus, the Old Trafford side evidently need to bolster their front line. Kane is already an established superstar. If the Manchester-based club have the opportunity, we should pursue the 29-year-old’s signature in the coming months.
