Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford wins January Premier League Player of the Month
Marcus Rashford has picked up the Premier League Player of the Month award for January, having played a crucial part in four matches for Manchester United last month, via the Daily Mail.
The 25-year-old started the year off with a goal against Bournemouth at Old Trafford. We won the match 3-0. Casemiro and Luke Shaw were the other two goalscorers.
Then, in the 2-1 win over Manchester City, the England international was instrumental in the comeback. The Sky Blues looked like they were cruising until Bruno Fernandes scored the equaliser. Subsequently, the in-form forward found the back of the net in the 82nd minute to hand us the three points.
The match against Crystal Palace on 18 January was one of the few games in January Rashford did not get on the scoresheet. Hopefully, the academy graduate will change that in the next game.
Against Arsenal, the 25-year-old scored a peach of a goal to break the deadlock. Unfortunately, the Gunners were able to mount a comeback and got the three points in the final minutes through Eddie Nketiah.
In the current campaign, the England international has shouldered the burden of our attack. He has made 31 appearances in all competitions for United, scoring 18 goals and providing eight assists.
The last month couldn't have gone better for me. On a personal note, it's the first time I've won these awards together and hopefully not the last. Thank you to my teammates, the coaches, my family and the fans for helping me to win these awards. 🔴 #PremierLeague #ManUnited pic.twitter.com/Aw9XD5iO6a

Erik ten Hag has managed to get the best out of Rashford. Last season, the forward looked short of confidence and hardly made an impact when he featured.
However, under the Dutch manager, the 25-year-old has looked threatening in the final third. The England international is taking on defenders and managing to beat them with his pace.

Hopefully, Rashford can continue in a similar vein for the rest of the campaign. We have a chance to get out hands on silverware and the 25-year-old can play a key role for us.
