Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United among five clubs set to battle for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham

Manchester United will be in a five-way battle with the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid to acquire the signature of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, according to Sport (h/t The Sun).

The other sides in the race include Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea. The quintet of clubs are interested in the 19-year-old, seeing his scintillating form with the German outfit this season.

With his contract expiring in the summer of 2025, the England international is one of the hottest prospects in world football. However, BVB are looking to tie the midfielder down to a new deal.

United have had an eye on Bellingham for a long time now. The Old Trafford side are keen on adding youthfulness and energy to the middle of the park.

Moving to Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020, the 19-year-old wasted no time securing his place in the German club’s starting lineup. And since then, he has been a constant for the Bundesliga outfit.

The midfielder has also been handed the captain’s armband on a few occasions this season. His performances in the Champions League against the likes of Manchester City and Sevilla have turned a lot of people’s heads.

In the summer of 2022, Paul Pogba left the club after a mixed spell back in Manchester. While he did not set the world alight during his time with the Red Devils, the French national was a quality box-to-box midfielder.

United signed Christian Eriksen and Casemiro in the recent transfer window to bolster the engine room. And the Denmark international has seemingly taken the place of Pogba in the team, thriving in the number eight position.

Although the 30-year-old has surprised fans with his qualities, adding Bellingham to the squad would evidently strengthen us further. The Red Devils should pull out all the stops to ensure the 19-year-old plays for the red side of Manchester in the future.
