Luke Shaw explains what Erik ten Hag wants from Manchester United full-backs
Speaking in an interview as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has highlighted what Erik ten Hag demands from the full-backs and how he wants them to be more aggressive.
Having lost his starting berth to Tyrell Malacia early on in the season, Shaw has won his place in the team back and has put in some really impressive performances to keep his place in the team for the past few games.
Man United have been in very good form in the past few weeks. The Red Devils are playing some good football and except for a loss against Manchester City, they have been very impressive in recent times.

Last night, they managed to get a 1-1 draw against Chelsea but Man United were by far the better team for much of the game last night. They should have scored more and missed the clinical edge in front of the goal.
Both full-backs who started the game last night for Man United, Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot had performances to remember. They were solid in defence and equally impressive going forward and made a good case for themselves.
Speaking about this particular position, Luke Shaw has revealed what Ten Hag demands from his wide defenders.
“The way the manager wants, he wants more intensity, he wants more aggression. He wants everyone to win their duels, one vs ones. Of course we have to cover the space as well as full-backs and we’ve worked a lot on that in training on team shape.”

Luke Shaw will be hoping to continue his good form and impress Ten Hag. He is fighting for a starting berth in the England national team along with Ben Chilwell and Southgate will be taking a keen look at the Man United full-back’s performances.
The English international can be a great full-back if he remains fit. Everyone will remember Shaw’s exploits for the Three Lions in the Euros and he will be hoping to put in similar performances in the showpiece event in Qatar.
