Liverpool could use Naby Keita in a swap deal for Manchester United target Jude Bellingham
Manchester United target Jude Bellingham could be part of a swap deal as Liverpool could use Naby Keita in a deal with Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga outfit are interested in the Merseyside club’s Guinean midfielder, according to Bild (h/t The Sun).
Dortmund are “hot” for Keita. And Liverpool may be open to selling the Guinean in January. The 27-year-old has not had the best of time in Merseyside since joining in 2018.
Bellingham is a player who has many clubs keeping a tab on him. United and Liverpool are in the mix as Manchester City and Real Madrid are also vying for his signature.
The 19-year-old joined BVB in 2020 from Birmingham City. Since then, the England international has upped his game and become an essential player for the German outfit.
Our North West Derby rivals have an ageing midfield. The likes of Thiago Alacantara and Jordan Henderson are in their 30s. And Liverpool seemingly need some fresh blood in the middle of the park.
United could also evidently do with someone as talented as Bellingham. Currently, we have a lot of options. However, fans would not mind the 19-year-old entering the fray. The Dortmund midfielder is capable of playing multiple roles in the engine room.
Erik ten Hag can call upon Scott McTominay, Fred and Donny van de Beek to play in the pivot and box-to-box roles. However, only the Scotland international has performed well in the 2022/23 campaign.
The Red Devils signed Christian Eriksen in the recent transfer window alongside Casemiro. The two midfielders have added strength to a midfield that had been depleted in the summer of 2022 due to the departures.

Bellingham was part of England’s starting lineups against Italy and Germany. And the 19-year-old was one of the Three Lions’ best players on the pitch in both fixtures. United should go all out to ensure the midfielder ends up in the red of Manchester next season.
