Marcus Rashford “feels ready” for the derby between Manchester United and Manchester City on 2 October at the Etihad Stadium, according to The Sun. The 24-year-old has been on the sidelines in the Red Devils’ last few fixtures.

Rashford suffered a hamstring injury in the game against Arsenal in the Premier League. The Gunners visited Old Trafford with a perfect record. Mikel Arteta’s side had won every match up until that point. However, a brace from our 24-year-old forward helped us topple the North Londoners 3-1.

But since then, Rashford has been unavailable for selection for Erik ten Hag. As a result, the England international has missed the games against Real Sociedad and Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League.

Thankfully, Rashford is back in training with United. The 24-year-old is seemingly rearing to play a part against the Sky Blues. The champions are five points ahead of us at the moment, having played a game extra.

Pep Guardiola has the likes of Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne performing at their best this season. The Norwegian striker has especially taken the Premier League by storm, scoring 11 goals in seven appearances.

However, Ten Hag has brought the best out of the team after a shaky start. The Red Devils are on a four-game win streak in the English top flight. When Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have started in the back-four, we have been victorious every time.

Under the Dutch manager, United got off to their worst start in the league in 101 years. The Old Trafford side lost against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford. As a result, we sat at the bottom after two games.

However, United have beaten the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal to claw their way up the table. Now, the Red Devils sit in fifth place.
