Manchester United target Antony makes feelings known about transfer in an interview with Fabrizio Romano
Manchester United target Antony has revealed his desire to leave Ajax this transfer window in an exclusive talk with Fabrizio Romano. The Brazilian has reiterated his will to leave the Amsterdam-based club.
Antony signed for Ajax in 2020 and was a key part of Erik ten Hag’s XI. Now, the 22-year-old is looking for a new challenge away from the Eredivisie champions, with United seemingly his destination.
In a tell-all interview with Romano via YouTube, the transfer guru disclosed what Antony told him. The Brazilian expressed his desire to leave in a meeting with Ajax.
“Today, in a meeting with the club, I expressed my old interest in leaving, only this time with a considerable offer on the table. Others had already arrived! Ajax refused with argument that they only have 5 days to replace me”.
It appears the Dutch side have no intention of parting ways with their star. Ajax seem to have been blocking a move for Antony even though they have received a hefty bid for the Brazilian.
United evidently are looking to bolster their attack this summer. Ten Hag has already had to deal with a few issues during his spell in the Old Trafford dugout.
Cristiano Ronaldo apparently is looking for a move away from Manchester. The Portugal international’s future at United is uncertain. The 37-year-old was our top goalscorer in the 2021/22 season in all competitions.
The side lost Edinson Cavani at the end of the previous campaign. However, no forward has been signed by the club as of yet. The only attack-minded minded arrival has been Christian Eriksen.
Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho struggled for form last season. The English duo failed to have a considerable impact when they played. Anthony Martial started pre-season on an impressive note, but injuries have hampered his season till now.
