Ousmane Dembele remains unconvinced by Manchester United transfer offer
According to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Sportwitness), Ousmane Dembele believes Manchester United are unable to guarantee him a guaranteed spot in the starting lineup.
Ill-timed injuries have ravaged the player’s Barcelona career. This season, the French forward had a low start due to a knee injury. Even though he has made his comeback to the field, the world cup winner is yet to regain complete match fitness.
Dembele is closing on the end of his term and would be eligible to get into pre-contract talks with foreign teams from January. The world cup winner’s Barcelona future remains up in the air as he hasn’t given his consent to a renewal deal.
Amidst such a situation, Premier League heavyweights have set their eyes on the youngster. Manchester United and Chelsea both have been linked with the Blaugrana forward in recent times. However, the French superstar isn’t sold out by the offer from the Red Devils.
The 24-year-old player’s agent couldn’t see a guaranteed place for Dembele in the current United team. Given his injury tendency, he might not be able to keep up with other forwards and would miss out on playing time at Old Trafford.
However, Chelsea, on the other hand, offers much more stability to the young forward who might be attracted to a future at Stamford Bridge.
Dembele has proved his excellency in some of the most competitive leagues in the world. The talent is already there, and with some guidance, the French international can find the right path to develop his career.

Dembele has shown excellent performance against Premier League teams in the past. His solo run in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League tournament against Tottenham Hotspur was a sight to see. His pace and dribbling abilities, in accordance with top north finishing skills, make him a ready-made performer for the English top flight. Given his qualities, it’s possible that he would be able to adapt to the Premier League quickly.
However, Manchester United would need to present Dembele with a more strong sporting project and guarantee him a pivotal role to lure him to Old Trafford.
