Paul Pogba adds to the injury worries at Manchester United by picking up a knock during international duty with France

According to Eurosport, Manchester United star, Paul Pogba withdrew from France training on Monday after appearing to pick up a thigh injury.

The midfielder was called up for international duty by Les Bleus for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. However, during a training session on Monday, Pogba seemed to pick up a knock after a video came out of him yelling after taking a shot on goal. A member of the staff escorted him off the pitch later.

The 28-year-old star has already missed two games for the Red Devils before the international break due to suspension and has now added to the injury concerns of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The French international has been crucial for the Manchester-based outfit this season, providing 7 assists in 9 league appearances. However, he has not provided a single goal contribution since the Newcastle United game in early September.

However, he was crucial in the come-back against Atalanta in mid-October and was pivotal for France in their recent UEFA Nations League triumph. Thus, his injury will be a worry for Solskjaer, since he already has a couple of those on his mind.

Marcus Rashford withdrew from the England squad but is training with the club after recovering from illness and shoulder surgery. Luke Shaw also failed to report for international duty as he is following the club’s concussion protocol. Raphael Varane also picked up a hamstring injury last week during the game against Atalanta.

The pressure is mounting on Solskjaer to deliver results, and with several stars facing injury issues, their trips to Watford, Villarreal, and Chelsea might not be pleasant visits.
