Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is unkeen on Manchester United job amidst calls to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
According to Leicestershire Live (h/t The Express), Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is reluctant to take over at Manchester United amidst calls to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The frustration amongst the fans was clear on the weekend as the team slugged to a 2-0 defeat to Man City at Old Trafford. At times, the players looked a miserable bunch, but there were just a representation of the poor tactics employed by the gaffer.
Every Premier League title-winning team has a certain identity, and we currently lack one. It seems as though Solskjaer is out of his depth, and a change at the helm could be the answer.
Brendan Rodgers has been linked with the job after his impressive performances with the Foxes. The Northern Irishman led the Midlands club to an FA Cup triumph last season, not to mention two successive fifth-placed finishes over the last two campaigns.
Thus, one can only ponder what he could do with a better squad, something United possess. However, the 47-year-old is not sparing a thought on any of this as he recently claimed that he is nowhere close to leaving his current job.
It is also thought that Rodgers could move to Spain as part of his desire to complete 1000 games in charge. He has so far managed 615 games and might have to do so for another half a decade to achieve the landmark.

Further, it is believed that he is reluctant to take the United job, should it become available. This is because of the apparent interest of Man City in making him the successor to Pep Guardiola.
Thus, there are several factors at play here, and it does not look like the former Celtic and Liverpool manager will take over the managerial hot seat at the theatre of dreams.
