Cristiano Ronaldo not offered coaching role by Manchester United despite speculation
According to the Daily Star (h/t The Express), Manchester United have not offered Cristiano Ronaldo a coaching role as they believe the star has several more years of professional football in him.
The Portuguese star left Juventus and joined his former club on the deadline day of the summer transfer window as he signed a two-year contract, with the option for an additional year. There was a lot of hype around the signing, and the 36-year-old has certainly delivered.
All his career, Ronaldo has scored goals galore, but the centre-forward has produced more than his fair share of match-winning moments in the two months that he has been at the club.
However, once he does decide to retire, it is thought that the former Juventus man shall take up a coaching role at the theatre of dreams.
His son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, is already enrolled at the United academy and the club legend is expected to focus on coaching and his son’s career after he is done playing the game.
However, from the club’s viewpoint, it is thought that the Portuguese international is still a far way from doing any of this. The striker scored his 9th goal in 11 games earlier in the week and is not showing any signs of slowing down.

In fact, Man United chiefs believe Ronaldo will play well into his 40s and are also willing to tie him down to a new contract, given that the player would also be ready to commit his future in Manchester.
Regardless, United are relaxed about their global superstar, and even though he might take up coaching someday, it does not look like the 36-year-old is done conquering the world of football.
