Manchester United ‘warn’ agents that they are not eager to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
According to The Sun, Manchester United have warned agents that they are not ready to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite discontent amongst the dressing room.
It is thought that a herd of agents are offering their services to the Red Devils in order to find a replacement for the Norwegian amidst the poor form of the club. However, the Manchester-based outfit have made their stance clear on the topic and want to keep the former ace at the club.
While that is the stance of the hierarchy, the dressing room does not tell the same story. It is said that some of the players are still unconvinced about the 48-year-old taking the club forward in the right direction.
The Old Trafford outfit were 2-0 down at half-time against Atalanta, and it took Cristiano Ronaldo to take charge in the locker room and motivate the players. Bruno Fernandes also took aim at Solskjaer and suggested that the tactics need to be changed. A source told SunSport:
“It sounds like the inmates have taken over.”
Despite the victory against Atalanta, there are a lot of players who still feel that the former Molde manager cannot build a ‘cohesive’ side out of the superstars at the club. Another source told SunSport:
“The message is not clear. There is confusion in the team, players don’t understand what the tactics are. There’s no team, it’s just individuals, and there are big problems in the defence.”

It is also understood that some players want Ronaldo to be the link between the coaching staff and the dressing room. However, the Portuguese might not want to create any insubordination and is said to be content with Harry Maguire being the main link as club captain.
Thus, the problems are surfacing, and with key fixtures in the next two weeks, it remains to be seen whether the hierarchy changes their opinion or the players buy into Solskjaer’s methods.
