Barcelona prospect Ansu Fati has admitted to receiving offers from abroad amidst interest from Manchester United
According to The Sun, Barcelona youngster, Ansu Fati has confirmed that he received offers from abroad amidst interest from Manchester United. The teenager further explained that he rejected those offers and decided to stay at Barca.
Fati is one of the biggest gems that have come through the famed La Masia over the last few years. Following his breakthrough, Ansu has scored 15 goals and provided six assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.
Joan Laporta has managed to tie down the star in a long term deal with a release clause of €1 billion. This was after Laporta did a similar job with Pedri where he too have a long term deal accompanied by a €1 billion release clause.
“Yes, I’ve had offers from abroad, but my dream was to be here.”
His words indicate that he wanted to be at Camp Nou no matter what. Meaning United had no chance even if they had tried for the player. Man Utd previously had a £130 million bid rejected for the 18-year-old in the summer.
“FROM THE FIRST DAY, I TOLD JORGE MENDES THAT MY FIRST OPTION WAS ALWAYS TO STAY AT BARCA. He understood it perfectly and I am very happy that the club has trusted me.”

While the Red Devils tried to take advantage of the Blaugrana club’s financial problems, it seems that the club did not want to entertain that offer. And even if they did, the forward’s intentions would have been yet another hurdle.
